2018 Ristekdikti Clustering: Telkom University is Superior in Institutional and Innovation Field

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Coinciding with the commemoration of the 73rd Proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia at the Center for the Application of Science and Technology (Puspiptek) in Serpong, Tangerang, Friday (17/8) Kemenristekdikti (Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education) held a press conference announcing the clustering of Indonesian Universities in 2018.

University clustering throughout Indonesia aims to facilitate the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to carry out higher education coaching in accordance with the cluster, in addition to this clustering is also conducted so that the community can directly assess the universities that can be selected.

Based on the clustering results there are 5 clusters of Indonesian University with the number of cluster I as many as 14 universities, cluster II 72 universities, Cluster III 299 universities, cluster IV 1,470 universities. Finally, 155 universities in cluster V.

At the fifth year, Telkom University succeeded in achieving a quite good position on the results of the clustering conducted by the Kemenristekdikti. Based on the data compiled from the official website of Ristekdikti, Telkom University achieved a total conversion score of 52,053 and succeeded in occupying Cluster II.

“In some aspects of assessment, Telkom University is able to compete with other universities. Institutional aspects, for example, the score of 3734 was ranked 6th and the aspect of Innovation with a total score of 2645 ranked 3rd. ”Said Head of Telkom Public Relations, Daris Rochmansyah Maulana.

For your information, there are 5 aspects and indicators made by Kemenristekdikti in university clustering, namely: Quality of Resources, Institutional Aspects, Student Affairs, Research and Community Service, and Innovation.

Through this clustering Kemenristekdikti hopes that all universities can improve the quality and potential that they have. So that it can improve the quality of education in Indonesia to be much better.
